Last practice for the year

The Tampines Dragons had the last practice session and award giving this Saturday. Matthew was available to come along so we all went.

The gathering was held mostly to show appreciation to the volunteer coaches for the year. We are really happy that Oliver is in this club as it is a non profit organisation and their mission is to let all children to play the game of rugby. There are 285 players from 5-12 in the club now.

The names of the coaches were called. I wasn't sure if they would call Matthew as he is a part timer but sure they did! He was given a bottle of wine. 

Each team had fun mini games. Lots of the Under 5s were already away on holiday so even some parents got to play with them. They all enjoyed it so much. Oliver managed to get 2 tries which made him very very happy :)

At the end of the session some trophies were placed in front of them. The key here was only selected players received them. Each trophy title was read...

And Oliver's name was called!! "Most improved player - Oliver Rose!" Hooray!

They all got a medal for their hard work for the year.

We are very proud of you Oliver! Well done!

We are hoping Luca can join the youngest team next year. He really needs a session to let go of his excess energy!!
