Family catch up

We had a little surprise at the airport seeing Alistair and Avette there. They are Matthew's uncle and aunty who live down in the South Island. They were in Auckland to see Adele performing on the weekend. We visited their house when we travelled the South Island last year and they stayed with us in Singapore too. They are such nice people and we love spending time with them.

Everything was go go go once we arrived at Merryn and Dennis' place. We had lunch, afternoon tea and then Fenwick Roses arrived so we all went across to the park. Fresh crisp air and the smell of the grass was just what we needed after long flights.

This was on Oliver's holiday must do list - family cricket game!

It got slightly chilly by the end of the day but we still sat out in the courtyard with yummy sausages and BBQ chicken.

Since all the kids who were there had their birthdays coming up, we threw in a present giving session. So many cool presents. Super lucky kids!

It was just the perfect way to start our NZ holiday. Great to be back and be with the family :)
