Butterfly and Insect Park

The younger two are on school holiday this week and Matthew also had a day off today. Hence family day out! We wanted to take the kids somewhere fun but knowing we will be busy doing all the touristy things next week with my parents and nieces we had to think hard where to take them.

We looked up this very small attraction on Sentosa Island where the kids can see butterflies hatching and some unique insects. We have been one to of these in Phuket a couple years ago and they loved it so we knew it would be a great day out for them.

There were some odd animals in the exclosure too. Here is a very hungry iguana eating some lettuce. 

This peahen loved following people. Luca was quite worried it would jump on him at any moment. 

The leaf insects, they were so big! 

We could tell the place was running down a bit which was a shame. As you know once it looks run down, less people will go and no money for proper maintenance etc. I hope they will do some major renovations for some parts of the park. It was a great little activity for our kids. 

We were there only for an hour or so. Then headed back to VivoCity for some late lunch. It wasn't a full day but the kids were very happy to have a family outing :)
