Zoo visit

We havn't been to the zoo for so long. I cannot even remember our last zoo outing as a family. Having Ashley walking/running and seeing her reaction when she finds some animals was very enjoyable for us.

Here are our three little monkeys starting their hot afternoon walk around the zoo.

Well... they were spoiled and got a ride in this buggy.

We were lucky to catch the feeding time for both Proboscis monkeys and hornbills. It is always nice to visit this little Borneo display to remind the boys that this is where they were born.  It was the first time for us to see the hornbill feeding. 

Ashley was pretty good at spotting monkeys and orangutans all around the Zoo. 

As usual, the boys favourite was the "animal show" in the amphitheatre.
In the show, the message was to save nature/ save the wild life. The boys have been learning about recycling at kindy so both of them were very switched on. One problem now is that they saw a very clever otter recycling pet bottles into rubbish bins. And they really want a recycling pet otter to recycle their empty bottles at home...

We got so hot after the show sitting in the covered area so we went straight to the water play area nearby. The boys were so busy running around I couldn't get any decent pictures of them but I managed to get some of Ashley. She was having a ball!

Miss Independent wanted do the slide by herself. 

It is such a great idea to have this little water play area right in the middle of the zoo.

By the time we managed to drag the kids out of the water area a storm was approaching. So we decided to spend the rest of the time looking at animals from the tram.   

Such a perfect way to finish off our family day!!
