More friends from Brunei

The Ferans visited us on the way to their Christmas holiday in Australia. It is so nice lots of our friends are coming through Singapore and we live close to the airport to do a quick catch up.

Us adults enjoyed some Christmas nibbles while our kids played together so nicely.

The kids had an early dinner - some Christmas pasta, it was a hit!



And more relaxing time catching up and watching movies:





Matthew cooked some steaks and Spanish Chorizo for dinner on our BBQ. We brought our BBQ from Brunei but hadn't had a chance to use it yet. It worked perfectly! Our balcony is little but we had some drinks in the fresh air looking at the boats and airplanes.

Then it was time for dessert. Matthew and I made a pavlova, and of course the conversation ended up who created the pav, Kiwis or Aussies?!



I put some kiwifruit on top, gotta be a kiwi creation don't you think!?

They arrived in the late afternoon and left just after 10pm so it wasn't a long stay, but we felt like we caught up on lots :) Thank you Ferans for stopping over! We will see you in the New Year xxx

Kid's Christmas party

Naz organised a fantastic Christmas party for the kids. Lots of yummy food, some treats for the kids and Christmas movies to watch.

Last minute Christmas crafts

Every year since Oliver was born I have been trying to do a little Christmas craft for our kids.

In 2010 I made this and in 2011 I managed to make Christmas kiddy chair covers (I'm sure I took some photos but cannot find them...).

This year I was going to make personalised stockings for all of us but somehow the time flew by and it was already too late to start. So I bought some stockings while I was in Japan but wanted to make them a bit personal so quickly got my needles and threads out.

Here are this years creation, the letter "O" for Oliver and "L" for Luca. Oliver told me I need to make two "M"s but I ran out of time.







This way at least Santa will know which stocking belongs to which boy!

Quick catch up at the airport

The Brunke family landed in Singapore on the way back from Germany. The boys were very very excited to see their little friends Helen and Mina.

Straight away they were holding hands and running around with big smiles :) :) :)

They are coming back to Singapore at the end of the month to spend the New Year with us! We are so looking forward to seeing them again!

Last minute shopping on Orchard

Ok finally my blog is almost up to date (still slightly behind but hey I am getting there). I had some dates mixed up when publishing but it's all sorted now. You might have to go back a little bit to make sure you haven't missed our exciting events!

Matthew has been busy working and hadn't had a chance to go into the city center to see the lights. I really love this years light scheme, red and orange which gives me more Christmas warmth (not that we need the extra warmth, we are in the tropics!).

We were there on Thursday night so not too too many people but still enough to get a holiday buzz.

We decided Paragon shopping center had the nicest Christmas tree - the boys loved it!

It was quite late by the time we managed to get a taxi but the boys were great. I think they know something exciting is coming up!

My little shopper

Oliver always helps me when we go down to our supermarket in our condo. He knows where to get the basket and put the things we buy on the counter. Usually I have Luca in the buggy but today Oliver was out with Matthew so I took him down without a stroller.

He knew exactly what to do once we got there, got me the basket and looked around the shop, just like I do.





Nope he didn't want any help, he just wanted to do everything by himself:



My little baby is already growing into a little man :) So cute!

Flowers flowers flowers

Luca is very keen to pick flowers whenever he gets a chance. He is so cute trying to pick more than he can carry normally :)

I love getting flowers from my boys! One happy mummy :) :) :)

We had such a fab weekend with Lucas, Linnea and Boel. It is always sad to say good bye... but we know there will always be next time!

Relaxing morning

I love our little walk to the condo pond with our visitors in the morning. Whenever someone comes to Singapore, there are so many things they want to cover (there is too much available to do here!) and tend to end up rushing all day.

The kids had a lovely time feeding the fish and the turtles together. Oliver was very proud to show them to L&L of course!  And some play in the playground.



Meanwhile Boel and I had a lovely time catching up chatting away over coffee and some yummy Swiss bread we bought.
