Yoga with Kei

While I was away in NZ I got a text message from my yoga instructor saying that she is suddenly moving back to Australia. Boo :( I finally got back into exercising and I truly enjoyed her classes for the last 2 months or so. Anyway I still had a few lessons on my concession card but her last day was approaching very quickly so I needed to ask one of my friends to come along to use my card with me.

Luckily my best friend Kei is also into yoga and she was very happy to come along with me. We had such a great morning together.

Thank you Kei :) I can always count on you!

Sushi sushi sushi

Oliver and I enjoyed another sushi lunch date. I just cannot believe how much Oliver can eat! 8 of these pieces all together. Despite the amount of healthy Japanese food he eats he does not seem to be gaining any weight :(

Mornings by the pool

I cannot live in Singapore without this fantastic facility - our gorgeous Bayshore Park pool. Taking the kids to the pool is the best thing for both me and the kids. We have some Indian breakfast often. They don't even need to swim some days. They love hanging around the pool.

But when friends show up they just want to jump in!

Oh I love living in the tropics!!

Sea view

We used to have a partial sea view from our old apartment. Now we kind of need to lean over the balcony to see the sea. I am very happy with our nicely renovated 4 bedroom apartment but when I visit friends with a great sea view I feel like moving into a sea view while we live in Bayshore Park.

I was at Hiroko's apartment yesterday to enjoy some drinks and dinner looking at this amazing view. I really love it.

Boys playdate at Marine Cove

I promised Oliver we would organise a boys playdate before school is back.  Everyone was away before and after the New Year so we only had one possible day but luckily a few of Oliver's good friends made it. 

We took them to the new park on ECP - Marine Cove which was the best idea! There is a big McDonalds where we could cool down and have lunch. And some coffee shops with lots of outdoor seating. From the coffee shop we could see the boys playing quite well so us mummies didn't have to all stand in the sun - most important! 

They spent so long running around and climbing up this huge jungle gym. They also played soccer on the grass area which was very nice. Once they had enough of the heat they played some card games in the shade. Here is Oliver with his friend Ao and Sena. What a fun way to finish up the school holiday!

Ashley's first day at nursery

Someone was so super excited to get a Big Girl Backpack.

It still feels strange to me to send the kids to school for the new school year at the very beginning of the year. Ashley was very proud of herself in her uniform and her brand new backpack on her first day of nursery class (Luca is in K2 and didn't start until the 5th of Jan). 

Now that she is a big girl she walked her little friend Naima with her to school. It was Naima's first day at pre-nursery at GSCK. 

I can see Ashley grew so much from the length of her skirt. You are growing way way too fast our little princess x

Nano Blocks

Oliver and Luca each got a pack of Nano Blocks from our friends from upstairs. They are like LEGO just so super tiny. I am quite sad Oliver is no longer a LEGO enthusiast :( He still plays with them if he has friends to play with but otherwise he plays only once a week maybe.
It took him a while to get into it and today he finally finished making his Pokemon!

Then he went on and helped Luca's one. There were two parts to it and we managed to finish one. Well done Oliver! 

Luca? Surprisingly he can put these together but he wants to do it in his way and I didn't have the patience to supervise him today...

New Year resolutions 2017

I explained about New Year resolutions to each of our kids. They all thought about it and came up with a good one.

Oliver: I am going to be stronger. Yes that's a good one since he is still quite emotional and cries a lot.

Ashley: I am going to stop wearing nappies at night. Yes also a good one. We know she can do it but just lazy parents don't want to clean up the mess after an accident...

Luca: I am going to have my own iPad! Well... really? I lost my words... then couldn't stop laughing.
