With Maria

On the last day, we spent most of the day with Maria and Sara in Sabadell. They took us to this amazing park near their house. The kids couldn't stop running. So many cool things to try!

Ashley and Maria got into sand play. This was the very first time Maria didn't mind playing with the sand.

By the time we left the park it was nearly dinner time (for the kids only, of course). I wish we had something like this near we live. Great weather, great view, huge area and fun equipment. Such a perfect day for the kids. We couldn't have spent the last day in any better way.

5 Years later...

This is a picture in our lounge which was taken when we were in Barcelona in 2009. Oliver and his godfather, Victor.

5 years and some extra months later... Pretty amazing Victor hasn't changed at all! But our little boy is no longer little!!!

Victor can even carry an extra one on his arm this time. 

Spain - Park Guell

Last time we were in Spain, Victor proudly took us to Park Guell to show us some amazing Spanish architecture. Well... he took us to the park from the back door and bought us lots of beer. Then somehow we completely missed the most important parts of the park. Ha ha ha!
This time we made sure we were there with Sara too!

The trouble two plus little one. I always love Victor & Matthew shots: 

The park was originally established in 1900-1910 as an English style housing development. There were 60 houses, even schools and a market were developed. However the housing didn't sell as they planned. So the development stopped and the whole complex became a park. 

We spent an entire day there. The kids had a ball walking and running in a great big space. I looooved every little bits and pieces of the park. Just amazing!

The reason why we spent the whole day there was partly we couldn't get tickets to restricted areas until the very last session of the day. It was completely sold out. But it worked much better that way as we took our time looking at these amazing buildings and not at all rushed. 

Finally we made it to the famous dragon! The building behind was supposed to become the market. 

Thank you so much Victor and Sara for coming along. You guys made our day! It was so much fun!!

Too many to choose from

Sabadell

We took a train to Sabadell to spend the rest of our Spanish holiday local style. It is a lovely town near Barcelona where Sara comes from. Last time we were in Barcelona we stayed with her parents too. So we were very excited to see them again! Plus we got to finally meet Victor and Sara's daughter Maria!!!!

Beautiful Spanish weather all the way. We spent lots of time with Sara's family and I managed to do some shopping with Sara at the local shopping centre too - yeah!

We were there for 3 days. During these days Sara's family gathered and we had a real Spanish experience. 

Sara's mum made this amazing paella. It was sooooooo good!!! 

In return I cooked some sushi with Sara and her aunty for dinner. Funny having dinner at almost 11pm but we were right on Spanish time!

What a great way to spend some relaxing family time together. Thank you everyone for making us feel so welcome!
